My wife had colorectal cancer. She is clear now!OSF in Peoria has a Cancer Institute and a large Catholic hospital. My wife had MRI, CT scan, and sigmoidoscopy procedure in the same day. The board of 6-7 colorectal surgeons looked at the results and gave us a call to tell us what kind of surgery they recommend. We were talking to professional compassionate people. We drove 2 hours to get there for tests, but sometimes had telephone consultations to avoid extra driving. We felt blessed to have found OSF in Peoria and have total confidence in them! Jeannie was in surgery for over 10 hours with 3 surgeons on 11/11/25. Then had 2 1/2 months of excellent home health care recommended by OSF. On February 26, 2026 she returned to her volunteer job at Leydig here in Dixon. When we left Peoria OSF Hospital last November we gladly filled out a survey. The last question was, "Did you feel the presence of God while you were here?". We said Yes.
